This patch cannot work properly while virus detection software is running. Please make sure that you have disabled any virus detectors before applying the patch.
This updater updates versions 2.0.2, 2.0.3, 2.0.4, or 2.0.5 of MacSLIP and SLIP Extension to version 2.0.6. You must also have previously run the MacSLIP 2.0.6 Updater Installer to get all the files you need for release 2.0.6.
First, make backup copies of MacSLIP and SLIP Extension. MacSLIP is located in your Control Panels folder (or system folder if you're running System 6); SLIP Extension is located in your Extensions folder (or system folder if your're running System 6). You should put the copies somewhere that is NOT in your system folder.
When this updater asks for the location of the files to patch, select the files that are within your system folder.
After running this updater, you should reboot your Macintosh before attempting to use the updated software.
